UnitedHealth accused of overcharging Medicare

The U.S. Justice Department is now part of a lawsuit against UnitedHealth Group.

The company is accused of overcharging Medicare by hundreds of millions of dollars.

"We reject these more than five-year-old claims and will contest them vigorously," UnitedHealth spokesman Matthew Burns said in a statement.
