President Donald Trump yesterday imposed economic sanctions against North Korea.
His executive order allows the Treasury Department to ban from the U.S. financial system those conducting significant trade in goods, services or technology with North Korea.
"Foreign financial institutions must choose between doing business with the United States or facilitating trade with North Korea or its designated supporters," the order says.
The order also bans vessels and aircraft that have visited North Korea from coming to the United States for 180 days.
