The Network selected attorney Britton Jobe as its Young Professional of the Year.

Britton Jobe, a partner at law firm Neale & Newman LLP, was honored last night alongside finalists Kristin Carter of Central Trust Co., Jeremy Snow of Environmental Works Inc. and Shanda Trautman of Old Missouri Bank. The winner was announced during The Network’s Holiday Soiree, according to a news release.

“Britton is incredibly passionate about our initiatives to successfully develop and retain young professionals in the Springfield region,” Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce President Matt Morrow said in the release. “His leadership in The Network and the broader community has been incredibly focused on talent retention as a key tool in growing our economy by ensuring job creators will have the skilled professionals they need in the future.”

A panel of judges evaluated nominees following an open nomination process by The Network, the chamber’s young professionals career-building organization.

Judges evaluated nominees based on work experience, community involvement, personal and professional development, and engagement as a young professional, according to the release.

The Network last night also revealed its new logo and branding to members meant to “solidify the message of talent retention as a key component of an economically vibrant community,” according to the release. A new website will be launched in 2018.
