Paragon 360, Sounds Great merge their brands

Posted online

Two local audio, visual, lighting and staging companies, Paragon 360 and Sounds Great, became one brand on March 15.

The consolidation comes four years after Sounds Great became a division of Paragon 360. The AVL companies have jointly partnered on projects for a few years under their parent company Brawner & Associates LLC, and now will operate singly as Paragon 360.

“We’ve basically had two names for the same company of people,” President and CEO Donnie Brawner said in a news release. “We believe this will help eliminate potential confusion between the names.”

Mark Morton, once the head of Sounds Great, took on the role of vice president when the brand merged with Paragon 360. Morton retired in December, and Paragon 360 since has been led only by Brawner.

Paragon 360 develops engaging environments for churches, businesses, schools, museums and other live events. The business represents over 250 brands of professional AVL gear and manufactures its own line of drum enclosures, scenic elements and modular staging. Paragon 360 is located at 1859 W. Arbor St. and employs 30, according to the release.

Paragon 360 spokesman Kelly O’Bryant said local projects range up to $50,000, while national projects have exceeded $3 million. Current local projects include Seminole Baptist, Ridgecrest Baptist and First Baptist in Springfield. Corporate work has been completed for well-known names such as Bass Pro Shops and Wal-Mart Stores Inc., as well as JQH Arena and Six Flags Theme Park.
