Jimmy’s Egg LLC
Jimmy’s Egg LLC opened its 60th location on Nov. 16 at 2440 N. Kansas Expressway, the site of a former Pizza Inn. Marketing Manager Mendi Landgraf said the Oklahoma City-based chain has 32 corporate-owned restaurants – including three in Springfield, now – and 28 franchise locations. She said former Ruby Tuesday General Manager Dan Calhoun has served as operator in Springfield since 2014, when the first local Jimmy’s Egg opened at 3315 E. Battlefield Road, followed by the store at 3837 S. Campbell Ave. last year. The newly remodeled 3,500-square-foot Kansas Expressway restaurant can seat 110 people. Its 25 employees serve breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes, and they handle catering jobs.

Guaranty Federal Bancshares Inc.
Guaranty Federal Bancshares Inc. (Nasdaq: GFED) opened its 11th Guaranty Bank branch Nov. 13 at 2144 E. Republic Road, Ste. F-200, in Farmers Park. Guaranty leases nearly half of the $6 million, 55,000-square-foot final addition to developer Matt O’Reilly’s mixed-use complex. Carlye Wannenmacher, vice president and director of marketing, declined to disclose the terms. Rachael Godden manages five employees in the bank branch on the ground floor, and up to 55 more work throughout the building in company executive functions, accounting, commercial lending, marketing and human resources. The company’s headquarters remain at 1341 W. Battlefield Road, Wannenmacher said. The opening in Farmers Park follows Guaranty’s August conversion of a Joplin loan production office into its 10th full-service branch.

Neat Repeats Thrift Store
Freedom’s Rest family crisis center moved its Neat Repeats Thrift Store on Nov. 15 to 1944 W. Retail Lane in Ozark. The 5,000-square-foot unit next to Wal-Mart Supercenter in Ozark Centre is five times larger than the previous shop in Collins Point shopping center, said Executive Director Matthew Ennis. The nonprofit collects donated clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, household items, sporting goods, furniture and other items for resale to benefit those seeking shelter from family violence. Freedom’s Rest operates a 16-room shelter at an undisclosed site in Christian County, said Ennis. While about half of its clients come from Greene County, he said the center serves 11 southwest Missouri counties. In addition, the store issues clothing and supplies for the adults and children who stay at Freedom’s Rest, so donations of hygiene and laundry products, food, household items, children’s books and toys also are accepted.
