BKD LLP promoted Catherine Gilpin, Stephanie Hurt, Eric Rogers, Ryan Sivill, Zach Swartz and Jennifer York to director positions. Gilpin specializes in consulting services for community health centers receiving federal grant funding under the Public Health Service Act. Hurt assists high-net-worth families and institutions with investment management and wealth planning. Rogers is a member of BKD’s Health Care Performance Advisory Services unit and helps clients understand and implement new revenue models. Sivill provides audit and consulting services to clients in the manufacturing, retail and entertainment industries. Swartz is responsible for risk analysis and investment portfolio management. York works with employee benefit plans, including performing audits of defined benefit plans, 403(b) plans, 401(k) plans and profit-sharing plans.

Banking and Finance
Central Bank of Branson added Brandi Beebe as marketing director succeeding Roger Frieze, who moved to the bank’s commercial lending division. Beebe is a graduate of Branson Public Schools and earned a bachelor’s in administrative management and a master’s in marketing from Missouri State University.

Matt Graham joined Springfield First Community Bank’s Home Loan Center as assistant vice president and mortgage loan originator. He previously served as a mortgage adviser at Wells Fargo & Co. in Springfield for six years.

Education
Evangel University added three faculty members at the start of the 2018-19 school year. Sandra Cassell, a 1993 alum, joined as an assistant professor of business and an Enactus adviser. Her most recent working experience was as an IRS lead corporate trainer and quality control analyst.

Emily Johns, added as an assistant professor of digital learning, spent 25 years serving with her husband Greg as Assemblies of God missionaries in South Africa. Kelly Richardson, a 2005 alum, was hired as an assistant professor of kinesiology after 13 years coaching volleyball at Southwest Baptist University, University of Texas-Arlington and Western Illinois University.

Republic School District Communications Director Josey McPhail was named to the National School Public Relations Association’s 35 Under 35 list. McPhail has been with the district as director since 2013.

Government
Bolivar Deputy Clerk Paula Henderson completed the requirements to become a certified municipal official through the Missouri Municipal Governance Institute. She was one of 35 people in Missouri to earn the certification after completing 16 credit hours in subjects from budgets to planning and zoning.

Nonprofit
The Ozarks Regional YMCA appointed Kathryn Custer as CEO to succeed the retiring Steve Gimenez. She served as chief operations officer since summer 2017 and has 15 years of experience with the YMCA, previously in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Retail
Verizon Wireless named Russell Cellular Inc. its 2018 Partner of the Year for best national seller. Russell Cellular operates 431 locations in 31 states and six Verizon markets.
