New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman filed suit against Harvey Weinstein and his former company.
On Sunday, Schneiderman said his office's four-month investigation into sexual harassment found "vicious and exploitative mistreatment of company employees" at Weinstein Co. Further, the suit points to "egregious" violations of state civil and human rights laws.
The suit could complicate a pending sale of the Weinstein Co. Last month, a group led by Maria Contreras-Sweet, former head of the U.S. Small Business Administration, began negotiating a purchase.
