MGM files complaints against Las Vegas shooting victims

Posted online

MGM Resorts International filed complaints in Nevada and California federal courts against shooting victims at the company's Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

MGM is not seeking compensation from the shooting survivors, but is instead intending to show it is not at fault for the massacre.

The company cited the Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies that protects corporations from mass attacks committed on U.S. soil, as long as services certified by the Department of Homeland Security were deployed.

During the October shooting, 58 people were killed and over 500 were injured.
