Photo Gallery: Lucky’s Market Sneak Peek

Posted online

Boulder, Colorado-based Lucky’s Market is scheduled to open its first local natural foods store Jan. 10 in Glenstone Marketplace at 3333 S. Glenstone Ave. The Springfield location adds 150 staff members to the grocery chain’s existing 3,500. Brad Clark was hired as store manager, after holding leadership roles at several natural-food stores, including Whole Foods Market. Lucky’s offers organic, local and gluten-free items, plus an in-house bakery and butcher, said spokeswoman Krista Torvik. Smoothies, juices, coffee, beer and wine also are available to customers to drink while they shop, she said. The new grocer – immediately north of Target – leases 28,000 square feet of Brad Thessing’s 100,000-square foot, $10 million development. Lease terms were undisclosed. HomeGoods opened in the center in November and Designer Shoe Warehouse is scheduled to open this year.
