Kansas City’s governing body yesterday voted 10-2 in favor of hiring Maryland-based Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate as the developer for a proposed $1 billion terminal at Kansas City International Airport.
The vote by council came after a selection committee recommended Edgemoor two weeks ago.
Still, the project needs voter approval. On Nov. 7, voters will make the decision on whether to develop the project.
