Project description: Madeline Brown, a spokeswoman for project architect H Design Group LLC, said Fritz’s Adventure includes a three-story 33,000-square-foot building, but in all 80,000 square feet is set aside for hands-on climbing, tunneling, sliding and zip-ling experiences. It’s been described as a place where St. Louis’ City Museum meets Swiss Family Robinson, according to FritzsAdventure.com. Located near Dixie Stampede and Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater, plans also call for a restaurant overlooking the adventure park, an outdoor patio and a room for groups or special occasions. A private investor group bought the property, formerly Silver Fountain Inn, in September 2015, and hired Billy Ong of Herschend Family Entertainment Corp. to run it.
