FedEx using employee buyouts to save up to $275M

FedEx is offering employee buyouts in an effort to save up to $275 million annually starting in 2020.

The company expects the buyouts to cost $450 million to $575 million in pretax expenditures.

FedEx did not say in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing how many employees would be affected. It employs 450,000 in 220 countries and territories.
