U.S. banking company Citi indicated as many as 10,000 jobs could be replaced by robots within its network.
Jamie Forese, head of the bank's institutional clients group, predicted the company would shed half of its 20,000 technology and operations staff in favor of robotics and automation.
Forese said the 20,000 ops staff make up more than 40 percent of the bank's total employees and are "most fertile for machine processing."
