Bass Pro Shops and O’Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) ranked on a list of the top 100 retailers by U.S. sales growth.
Published in the National Retail Federation’s Stores magazine, the Hot 100 Retailers list ranked Bass Pro No. 2 and O’Reilly Automotive No. 90.
Bass Pro recorded 94 percent growth in U.S. sales between 2016 and 2017, according to the NRF. The retail group estimates the company produced $7.8 billion in worldwide sales last year.
“This recognition is a tribute to all of our remarkable and passionate outfitters who work hard every day to make sure every customer experience is a positive one,” Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris said in a statement.
For O’Reilly Automotive, the NRF reported a roughly 5 percent increase in 2016-17 U.S. sales. The company’s worldwide retail sales in 2017, according to the NRF, were about $9 billion.
Topping the NRF’s Hot 100 Retailers list was Dublin, Ireland-based clothing retailer Primark. The company’s U.S. sales growth was 103 percent 2016-17, according to the NRF, which reported Primark’s 2017 worldwide retail sales at $9.9 billion.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
