Andy’s Frozen Custard this week opened its 56th store.
The franchise shop in Mesa, Arizona, is the second launched by Southwest Frozen Custard. The franchisee opened a store on July 12 in Ahwatukee, Arizona. Both stores are near Phoenix, with the latest coming on line Dec. 6, said Andy’s spokesman Charlie Buchanan.
Southwest Frozen Custard’s stores are the farthest west in the Andy’s chain. The company’s portfolio now comprises 31 franchise stores via 11 franchisees, as well as 25 corporate-owned stores, in Missouri and 10 other states. The company’s website lists three more stores as “coming soon,” one each in Shawnee, Kansas, and Orlando and Sanford, Florida.
Andy’s, which hit the 50-store mark this summer with a location in Fort Worth, Texas, had a goal of 75 shops in 2017.
“Mesa will be the last new store in 2017,” Buchanan said via email, noting the company is targeting 12-15 new stores annually. “We value quality over quantity.”
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
