SBJ to honor pros in health fields

Posted online
Springfield Business Journal will recognize exceptional health care professionals in five fields during November’s Health Care Champions event.

Originally started by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce decades ago, this year marks the seventh annual SBJ event and will continue the tradition of naming the Queen City’s two Top Doctors.

This year’s honors go to Dr. Rosellen Meystrik, a plastic surgeon with Mercy Clinic Plastic Surgery, and Dr. John Steinberg, a cardiothoracic surgeon with CoxHealth.

SBJ also will recognize individual Health Care Champions chosen by an independent panel of judges in four categories: Administrator, Nurse, Technician and Therapist.

In alphabetical order, the Health Care Champion honorees are:
    •    Administrator: Dayna Harbin of CoxHealth Psychiatric Services, Susan Hinck of Haven Home Health LLC; and Greg Horton of Integrity Home Care Inc.;
    •    Nurse: Dusti Everett-Hinkle of CoxHealth Emergency Department, Patricia Webb of The Child Advocacy Center Inc.; and Theresa Witt of Mercy Hospital Springfield;
    •    Technician: James Braun of Mercy Clinic-Nixa; Christie Drew of CoxHealth Paramadics; and Tony Massey of CoxHealth child and adolescent psychiatry;
    •    Therapist: Cindy Baker of Touchstone Counseling LLC; Ashlea Cardin of Missouri State University and Mercy Kids; and Melanie Stinnett of TheraCare Outpatient Services LLC.

The Health Care Champions banquet starts at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 17, with networking followed by dinner at DoubleTree Hotel, 2431 N. Glenstone Ave.
