National equipment rental company Sunbelt Rentals Inc. entered the Springfield market Oct. 1 with a store at 1600 E. Chestnut Expressway. Formerly a Springfield Public Schools transportation facility, the school sold the 4.6-acre property for $510,000 in January to the Edwards Family Trust. With 10 employees managed by Steve Tuttle, Sunbelt rents construction equipment, industrial tools and forklifts, as well as general tools, such as chainsaws and lawn and garden equipment, said Keith Wheeler, a customer service representative. Sunbelt leases the 7,850-square-foot building from Hideaway Investments LLC for undisclosed terms. Casey’s General Stores Inc.
Casey’s General Stores Inc. (Nasdaq: CASY) opened Aug. 27 at 3064 State Highway CC in Ozark. Development of the 4,350-square-foot building and fuel pumps was estimated to cost $3 million, including the land and equipment, said Sam James, a financial analyst for the Iowa-based chain. The company operates 1,900 stores across 14 states. With three stores now in Ozark and another recently opened in Nixa, at 504 W. Wasson St., Casey’s has 329 stores in Missouri. The two latest stores employ 15-20 and have similar designs with 16 fuel pumps and a kitchen area for production of Casey’s pizza, subs and breakfast items. Hours: 24/7. Phone: (417) 485-3153. Eight months after opening a third clinic, Advantage Therapy LLC owner Chuck Renner added a fourth Nov. 2. The clinic at 5528 S. Farmers Branch Road, Ste. B, in Ozark joins locations in south and north Springfield and Monett. The latest offers a gym area and two private treatment rooms among its 1,000 square feet, said Andrea Graddy, a patient care coordinator and marketing specialist. Advantage Therapy provides physical, occupational and certified-hand therapies, pain management and employer services, such as ergonomics analysis and drug screening. Renner declined to disclose startup costs for the clinic, which is subleased through Sharlin Health and Neurology for DKP Properties LLC. Renner, a chronic pain management specialist and a certified hand therapist, works in Ozark with Matt Taylor, who has a doctorate in physical therapy and advanced board certification in orthopedic rehab and wound care.
