Southwest Baptist University hired a Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau executive as its next controller.
Effective Sept. 1, Terri Rogers leads the Bolivar school’s accounting services department. She succeeds Tara Parson, who was promoted to vice president of administration and chief financial officer a month ago, said SBU spokeswoman Stephanie Benoit. Parson took over for Ron Maupin, who retired.
Benoit declined to disclose Rogers’ salary.
Rogers comes to SBU from the Branson chamber, where she worked as controller and director of human resources. She also has past experience in payroll and HR at EDCO Group Inc. and the School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute, according to a news release.
“She brings great experience to this important role, having worked in all areas of accounting throughout her career,” Parson said in the release.
