New Covenant finalizes Life360 campus purchase

New Covenant Academy announced yesterday it closed on the purchase of Life360 Church’s nearby Park Crest campus.

The private Christian college preparatory school plans to use the 9.7-acre Life360 campus with a 44,000-square-foot church building, 3581 S. Kansas Ave., to launch a separate campus for fifth-eighth graders.

When the school campus opens in fall 2018, New Covenant’s student capacity will rise to 900 from its current enrollment of 526, officials have said.

In the interim, New Covenant will lease the property to Life360.

Life360 is under contract to buy the Palace Springfield theater building with Chesterfield Village creator Dearborn Development Inc. for undisclosed terms. The property had been listed for $2.6 million. In early March, Life360 Executive Pastor Leo Crosby said he expected the deal to close within 90 days. He could not be reached for comment this morning by deadline.

Life360 plans to relocate its Park Crest campus to the nearly 29,000-square-foot theater building at 2220 W. Chesterfield Blvd.
