Better Business Bureau names CEO

Posted online
The Better Business Bureau of Southwest Missouri found the successor for its longtime CEO from within the organization.

Jon Anfinson, who previously served as director of community outreach and business development for the local business bureau, takes over for Judy Mills, who retired in December after a decade as CEO and 26 years with the organization.

“Jon brings an abundance of quality leadership to the Better Business Bureau of Southwest Missouri and the community at large. His vision is strong, and he’s committed to serving our accredited businesses,” local Better Business Bureau board President Loa Freeman said in a news release.

Prior to joining the bureau about three months ago, Anfinson worked as a business coach and speaker for Eagles Coaching Inc., a Springfield consulting organization he co-founded. Anfinson, who also has more than 20 years of experience in hotel and restaurant management, is a certified coach via The John Maxwell Group, according to his LinkedIn page.

Anfinson now leads a Better Business Bureau chapter with over 1,000 members. The organization promotes ethical business practices and publishes reviews on companies.
