New Jersey-based Pinnacle Foods Inc. (NYSE: PF) announced yesterday plans to buy Boulder, Colo., packaged-foods company Boulder Brands (Nasdaq: BDBD).
The deal includes $265 million in debt, bringing the total value of the purchase to $975 million.
The companies expect to close the deal in the first quarter next year.
