Former Missouri House Speaker John Diehl has resigned from Kansas City-based law firm Husch Blackwell LLP after working for a year as partner, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The Republican from St. Louis suburb Town and Country told the Post-Dispatch he looked forward to providing legal and strategic advice via a new platform, but did not elaborate.
Diehl resigned from the Missouri House of Representatives in May after sexually charged text messages between the legislative leader and a 19-year-old intern from Missouri Southern State University became public.
