Arvest Bank today announced it relocated its Springfield operations center to a former True Value hardware store on the south side.
The company opened the new office in late November at 4121 S. Cox Road, near the intersection of Republic Road and Kansas Expressway. The 11,000-square-foot building replaces Arvest’s former operations center on East Republic Road. Arvest no is longer using that building, and it’s been leased to a new tenant, said spokeswoman Kristin Mock.
Mock said Arvest leases the Cox Road building, which is owned by Harold E. Johnson Co. Inc., according to Greene County assessor records. Mock declined to disclose lease terms.
Nesbitt Construction Inc. was general contractor for the project designed by Ireland Architects. Mock declined to disclose the cost of the four-month renovation.
“It’s very freshly renovated. They were still putting in carpet,” Mock recalled of her move into the building in December after being hired as marketing specialist.
Currently, 14 people work out of the building covering marketing, human resources, security, network support, credit analysis and training. Arvest plans to double the number of employees in the new space.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
