ITT Tech ceases all student enrollment

ITT Educational Services Inc. (NYSE: ESI) has stopped enrolling new students, according to its website.

The news comes days after the U.S. Department of Education issued a ruling prohibiting the company from accepting new students with federal aid.

The company has yet to respond to the federal government's decision.

Springfield’s ITT Technical Institute campus already had stopped accepting new students as the company conducts an assessment of local market viability.
