Darden Restaurants tops Q4 forecasts

Darden Restaurants Inc. today reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $123.8 million.

That came to $1.18 per share, when adjusted for nonrecurring costs and expenses related to mergers and acquisitions. Analysts expected $1.15 per share.

The Orlando, Florida-based owner of Olive Garden and Red Lobster posted $1.93 billion in revenue, above analysts' expectations of $1.86 billion.
