Ark. chamber opposes casino measure

The Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce is opposing a ballot measure that would legalize casinos in three counties.

The proposed constitutional amendment would allow casinos to operate in the Arkansas counties of Boone, Miller and Washington counties. The casinos would be owned by private companies who support the measure.

In opposing the ballot issue, chamber officials said it would be bad for business in general and only good for the private companies.
