Alibaba backs Olympics through 2028

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba penned a deal to back the Olympics through 2028.

During the 12-year period, the company will supply technology to the International Olympic Committee to help organize the Games, support a new platform for merchandise and run a Chinese version of the Olympic internet TV channel.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
